What is Peer Support?

Peer support is emotional, mental, and spiritual encouragement from someone who has walked a similar path. At Koko Bella Diamonds, our Certified Peer Recovery Supporters are women with lived experience in overcoming mental health challenges, trauma, or substance use—just like the women we serve.

We don’t offer clinical therapy. Instead, we walk with you through your recovery journey—offering sisterhood, support, and strength when you need it most. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, motherhood, or healing from your past, peer support reminds you: you’re not alone, and you can rise again.

Our Approach

We are a Peer-Run Recovery Agency, meaning every service is led by Certified Peer Recovery Supporters with lived experience and specialized training in trauma-informed, strength-based, and culturally sensitive care.

Peer support services consist of activities that promote resiliency and recovery, self-determination, advocacy, well-being, and skill development. These services are individualized and recovery-focused, designed to build personal insight and coping skills through peer relationships rooted in mutual respect and empowerment.
